Soundtoys Little Plate

For this tribute to the EMT 140 plate reverb, I came up with a look that referenced Soundtoys existing products while making a few subtle references to period hardware. My favorite part of this design is the decay dial. After a lot of listening, we decided that an octave taper worked best for the control. And because Little Plate’s decay time can extend far beyond the EMT 140 (in fact, up to infinite sustain), the red markings in the legend subtly show the extended range.
